In the Acknowledgment to Reviewers for Volume 7, published in the December 1998 issue on pages 1155–1156, the name of one reviewer, Dr. Beth A. Jones, was inadvertently omitted. The Editors regret this error.
In the article by J. F. Dorgan et al., ‘Relationships of Serum Androgens and Estrogens to Prostate Cancer Risk: Results from a Prospective Study in Finland,’ published in the December 1998 issue on pages 1069–1074, an incorrect version of Table 3
appeared in which the mean serum hormone concentrations for DHEAS and androstanediol glucoronide were transposed. The authors confirm that neither DHEAS nor androstanediol glucoronide was associated with prostate cancer risk in their analysis and, therefore, the error in the table in no way affects the results or interpretation of their study. The complete corrected table is shown below.
In the article by R. W. Miller and C. S. Rabkin, ‘Merkel Cell Carcinoma and Melanoma: Etiological Similarities and Differences," published in the February 1999 issue on pages 153–158, two personal communications were incorrectly cited. Footnote 4 on page 154 should read "I. Penn, personal communication," and footnote 8 on page 157 should read "E. G. Silva, personal communication."
